Vijayawada: BJP‘s Guntur district president Vanama Narendra Kumar has landed in a soup after a video call involving him and a woman went viral on Wednesday. During the call, Kumar can be heard asking, “Will you come with me tomorrow?” and also heard saying, “Let’s drink tomorrow, just like we did last time…”
According to party sources, an internal inquiry is being held and a decision will be taken after cross-checking the facts.This is not the first time that political figures in Andhra Pradesh have been embroiled in such controversies. The most famous one involved YSRCP leader and former MP Gorantla Madhav in 2022, when a video of the MP on a nude video call with a woman went viral. Madhav, however, claimed the video was fake.
YSRCP leader and MLC Anantha Babu, who is already being tried for killing his driver in 2022, was also caught in an obscene video where he was found nude and making lewd gestures to an unidentified person. Anantha Babu claimed he was honey-trapped for money by some miscreants.
