HYDRAA Controversy: Is Hyderabad’s Real Estate Market Really Suffering? | Hyderabad News

‘HYDRAA drive not affecting Hyderabad realty sector’

Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy squarely blamed BRS working president KT Rama Rao for spreading canards that real estate market in Hyderabad had been adversely impacted by HYDRAA‘s ongoing drive against illegal encroachments.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, the CM said there was a slump in the real estate sector in every state and that Hyderabad was no exception. “If the real estate sector is affected by HYDRAA in Hyderabad, why is there a similar situation in Warangal and Karimnagar where there is no HYDRAA,” he sought to ask.
“BRS and KTR have responsibility for Hyderabad’s development. But with their comments and smear campaign, they created a scare among people, especially the middle class, in the name of HYDRAA. ,” he wondered.
The CM said the govt is struggling to manage the state finances with minimum resources. While the previous BRS govt borrowed 7.50 lakh crore in 10 years, the Congress govt has cleared 56,000 crore, including 7,000 crore interest on loans and other pending bills, till Oct 15, he claimed.
“Of the pending 52,000 crore to the contractors of various departments, the govt in the past 10 months paid 10,000 crore, 4,000 crore pending liquor suppliers, and other bills like fee reimbursements, etc.,” Revanth said. Apart from this, the govt paid 17,800 crore towards farm loan waiver implementation.
