The Royal Enfield Bear 650 motorcycle has finally gone on sale in India at a starting price of Rs 3.39 lakh. The bike’s model lineup is offered in five colour options – Broadwalk White, Petrol Green, Wild Honey, Golden Shadow, and Two Four Nine – priced at Rs 3.39 lakh, Rs 3.44 lakh, Rs 3.44 lakh, Rs 3.51 lakh, and Rs 3.59 lakh, respectively. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom, India. The RE Bear 650 appears more premium than the RE Interceptor 650 and comes with off-road capabilities.

For power, the Royal Enfield Bear 650 uses the 648cc, oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine borrowed from the RE Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. This unit delivers a claimed power output of 47bhp at 7,150rpm and 56.6Nm of torque at 5,150rpm. The bike is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch for smooth transmission. The braking system of the RE Bear 650 includes 320mm front and 270mm rear disc brakes, along with dual-channel ABS. The ABS unit is switchable, allowing the rider to turn off the rear-wheel ABS for controlled slides. It features 43mm inverted forks with 130mm wheel travel in a gold finish and twin shock absorbers with 115mm wheel travel at the rear. The Bear 650 offers a ground clearance of 184mm, which is 10mm higher than the RE Interceptor 650. It has a kerb weight of 216kg.
The Bear 650 maintains RE’s signature retro-style design language, with features such as a round headlight, raised handlebars, and a tear-drop-shaped fuel tank with colored graphics. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels fitted with dual-purpose tires. The bike also features a single-piece seat, a 2-into-1 exhaust setup, and a black finish on the engine crankcase and piston head. In terms of features, the Royal Enfield Bear 650 is equipped with a 4-inch TFT single-pod instrument cluster that supports navigation via Google Maps, music control, and more.
