Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao said land rates increased not only in Hyderabad but in every nook and corner of the state due to the steps taken by the previous BRS govt.
He said former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao took several steps for real estate development and even middle class sections invested their savings in land for better returns. “Now, the real estate market has crashed due to the misrule and faulty decisions of the Congress govt in the past 10 months,” he said.
Speaking at the Telangana Realtors Forum meeting on Tuesday, the BRS leaders said some parties campaigned against BRS and Telangana, saying if a separate Telangana state was created, land prices would be impacted in Hyderabad.
“Now, the land cost per acre is a minimum of Rs 15 lakh in any part of the state. This is because of the measures taken by BRS,” he said.
