Vijayawada: Deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan met Union home minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Wednesday. The meeting was his first interaction with Shah after taking over as deputy CM in June. The Jana Sena chief is said to have discussed the current financial situation of Andhra Pradesh with Shah. He also discussed his recent ‘Varahi Declaration‘, which outlines Jana Sena’s stance on protecting religious and cultural values. Pawan is likely to campaign on behalf of NDA candidates in Maharashtra, although no official statement was made. Pawan later clarified that it was just a courtesy meeting and no political discussions took place.
