Kurnool: Bethamcherla police have filed a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against 35-year-old Yellaiah, who has been accused of sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl at Kolumulapalli in Nandyal district. Bethamcherla sub-inspector Ramesh reported that the accused lured the girl with chocolate while she was playing in front of her house on November 7. The girl’s parents approached the police on Monday evening, and based on their complaint, a POCSO case was registered. The investigation is currently underway. The accused, Yellaiah, is absconding, and a manhunt has been launched to apprehend him, the Sub-Inspector added.
