NEW DELHI: Eleven wagons of goods train carrying iron ore derailed in Telangana on Tuesday night, causing disruptions to passenger train services.
The incident occurred between Raghavapuram and Ramagundam stations in the Peddapalli district at 10.00pm, South Central Railway (SCR) officials reported.
This derailment led to the cancellation of 20 passenger trains. Four trains were partially cancelled, and authorities diverted ten others. Two trains have been rescheduled, and three are running under regulation.
“Efforts are underway to restore the track and resume train movement,” SCR officials stated.
