Hyderabad: A man stabbed a woman and her son to death on the roadside at Bonthapally village in Gummadila mandal of Sangareddy district on Thursday following a dispute between the two families.
Police are looking for the accused, Nagaraju, who is the neighbour of the deceased, 30-year-old Anil, a labourer, and his 50-year-old mother Sarojini. Nagaraju is in the money transfer business.
According to the police, the incident stemmed from a six-month-old dispute between the two families. “Nagaraju’s two-year-old son died in a well drowning six months ago and his family suspected that Anil’s sister Neha was behind the boy’s death,” police told TOI.
On Thursday evening, Nagaraju’s family had a heated argument with Anil and his mother. As the situation escalated, Anil and Sarojini left their house. When they reached the corner of the street, Nagaraju arrived in a car, pulled out a knife and attacked the mother and son, killing them instantly.
“At the time of the altercation, Nagaraju was not in the house. He came later in a car and attacked Anil and Sarojini,” the police said.
The police have registered a case of murder and are looking for the accused.
