After the government was changed earlier this year, the development and welfare of Andhra Pradesh came back on track. The state started its journey towards progress and is actively attracting big investments from major companies.
In the recent past, we have seen business giants like Tata and Reliance announcing their investments in Andhra Pradesh. Now, central government-owned NTPC is going to set up India’s largest green hydrogen production facility near Vishakapatnam.

Getting into details, NTPC Green will be constructing the Green Hydrogen Production Hub at Pudimadaka village in Atchutapuram Mandal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be laying the foundation stone for the project on November 29. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced the news in the assembly today.
The project will be built by NTPC in collaboration with AP Genco, in an area spanning over 1200 acres. The government is spending over Rs. 84,700 crores for this massive project. It is expected that around 25,000 jobs will be created with this project.

Reportedly, this hub will generate 1200 tons of green hydrogen daily, which will be later converted to export-grade green ammonia and green methanol. It would also generate 20 gigawatts of Clean Electricity.
