Launched in 2021, the Citroen C5 Aircross SUV was the first offering from the French automaker in India. Over a year later, the model received its first update, featuring a heavily revised front fascia and an all-new interior with more features. Since its arrival, the C5 Aircross was available in two trims – Feel and Shine. However, the company has now discontinued the entry-level Feel trim, which was priced at Rs 36.91 lakh. The SUV lineup now consists of a single top-end Shine trim, priced at Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
With the midlife update, the C5 Aircross now features newly designed wrap-around headlamps with two sets of LED DRLs, a revised front bumper, a larger faux silver skid plate, and a narrower central air intake. It also gets new 18-inch alloy wheels and updated taillamps with rectangular lighting elements and a darkened finish. The SUV is available in four colour options: Pearl Nera Black, Pearl White, Eclipse Blue, and Cumulus Grey. The dual-tone shades, which are exclusive to the Shine trim, are available at no additional cost.
The Shine trim comes with a host of features, including LED projector headlamps, a hands-free electric tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, a 6-speaker audio system, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, an air purifier, cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and more.
Under the hood, the Citroen C5 Aircross is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 177hp and 400Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Citroen claims that the SUV offers a fuel efficiency of 17.5kmpl.
The Citroen C5 Aircross SUV, produced in 2023, is currently available with a year-end discount of up to Rs 1.75 lakh.
