Andhra Pradesh’s Ambitious Vision 2047: Wealth, Health, and Happiness | Vijayawada News


Vijayawada: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu unveiled ‘Swarnandhra Vision 2047‘ and placed the vision document in the assembly on Friday, which was the last day of the assembly session.
Naidu said the aim of the vision document is to create a robust framework to make a “wealthy, healthy, and happy Andhra Pradesh”, which aligns with the broader national ambition of a developed India by 2047 to mark the centenary of India’s Independence as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“The core principle of this vision document is to ensure not only growth in urban areas but to equally develop rural areas across the state. The govt is aiming to create an inclusive ecosystem where economic growth translates into improving the living standards of people. For that to happen, a peaceful state that ensures security is required. The govt’s approach will make AP an attractive destination for investments and will fuel the cycle of growth,” he said.
The chief minister said the vision document was prepared after taking the opinion of over 1.7 million people. “It reflects the ideas of all participants, ranging from women and industrialists and politicians to students, farmers, and senior citizens. This collaborative approach ensures that the vision is not just top-down but inclusive and reflective of the needs and aspirations of the people,” he explained.
The vision document comprises of 10 focus areas with specific targets to achieve. The first target will be to achieve zero poverty by 2047. For this to happen, Naidu proposed his P4 model with people, public, and private partnership. Creation of employment opportunities and skilling human resources are the next focus areas in the vision document. Naidu stressed on achieving water security by completing all projects in the state for effective utilisation of water resources available in the state. Productivity and profitability of farmers will increase by integrating technology in agriculture and ensuring water security, he observed. The next five focus areas outlined in the document are to develop the best logistics facilities, cost optimisation of energy and fuel, achieving product perfection with quality, and adopting deep-tech in all walks of life.
