Tamil movie Iraivan starring Jayam Ravi was released in Tamil on 28th of last month. This movie was released today in Telugu with the name God. Let’s go to the review and find out how this movie is.
Story:
Arjun (Jayam Ravi) is an Assistant Commissioner of Police. He has no fear. He works with the sole aim of fixing the game of criminals. Arjun is a good friend of ACP Andrew (Naren Ram). However, Andrew does not like Arjun’s encounters. Andrew covers Arjun’s mistakes. A psycho killer kills Andrew in a series of dramatic developments. Arjun resigns saying that he can no longer continue his job with the death of his friend. Meanwhile, Andru’s sister Priya (Nayantara) falls in love with Arjun. On the other hand, psycho killer Brahma escapes from jail and targets and kills only the girls who are close to Arjun. Did Arjun catch Brahma once again in this order? Or ?, who is this brahma ?, how did Arjun stop brahma’s agadas in the end? That is the rest of the story.
Plus Points:
The film revolves around a serious psycho killer in the backdrop of a crime thriller with suspense and some crime elements. The interval bang and the twist in the climax are okay in this movie. Mainly in the movie, the psycho killer is killing girls consecutively, the track related to those murders.. and the other main characters who are connected with the hero’s role.
Jayam Ravi in the role of Arjun, the assistant police commissioner, has acted brilliantly as always. The way Jayam Ravi maintains an interest with seriousness in the film by showing variations in his performance according to his role is impressive. Nayanthara, who played the heroine in this movie, impressed with her acting as per her role. Naren, Vinod Kishan, Rahul Bose, Vijayalakshmi and the rest of the cast also performed well in the scope of their roles.
Minus Points:
Although the concept and some crime scenes written by the director I. Ahmed are good.. the story is too serious.. and the plot is missing in some scenes and the movie is very boring. Moreover, some scenes in the movie are too dramatic and the story lacks naturalness.
In addition to this, the movie is full of silly melodious crime drama and it is boring. Moreover, many scenes in the movie are completely cinematic without creating interest. However, how can there be interesting scenes in a play that is completely far away? Each scene in the story is progressing slowly and ending in a conventional manner.
Apart from that, the treatment also went on with a boring play and killed the interest in the movie. Also, the lack of a proper plot in the film, the content of the main treatment is not interesting, and the key scenes in the pre-climax and second half are very slow and depressing.
Technical Department:
When it comes to the technical department, Hari K. Vedantam’s cinematography as the cameraman is the highlight of the film. His work in some crime scenes is very good. The music by music director Yuvan Shankar Raja is also impressive. The editor’s work is like a movie. The production values followed by the producers of the movie are very good. Although director Ahmed wrote a good plot, he could not write interesting content and play.
Verdict:
This crime action drama called God did not go well. Factors like lack of interest in the main treatment, slow progress of the film and depressing, boring play hurt the result of the film. But, some action scenes, Jayam Ravi – Nayanthara acting is good. However, overall this movie is disappointing.
