New 2024 Honda Amaze Leaked; Unofficial Bookings Open

The fourth-generation Honda Amaze is all set to hit showrooms on 4th December 2024. Prior to its official launch, select Honda dealers have started accepting bookings for the compact sedan. In fact, we got to see the first clear images of the new Honda Amaze without camouflage, revealing all its design changes. Most of the cosmetic updates are inspired by the City and the globally sold Accord sedans.

Upfront, it features a rectangular grille with a chrome insert, LED projector headlamps with integrated DRLs, an LED fog lamp assembly, and a revised bumper. Subtle changes have been made to its side profile, including newly designed machined alloy wheels. The 2024 Honda Amaze comes with sleek LED taillamps, a rear bumper with horizontally placed reflectors, and a shark-fin antenna.

The interior will also share resemblances with the City sedan and Elevate midsize SUV. The new Honda Amaze will have a dual-tone black and beige interior theme with beige seat upholstery. The compact sedan will also feature an Accord-inspired dashboard with patterned accents and a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. Features such as an automatic AC unit, a wireless phone charger, a rearview camera, a single-pane sunroof, and six airbags will also be on board. However, the major upgrade will come in the form of the first-in-segment ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). Read: Upcoming Honda Cars In India

Similar to the current generation, the 2024 Honda Amaze will use the 1.2L petrol engine that delivers a claimed power output of 89bhp and 110Nm of torque. Both manual (5-speed) and CVT automatic gearboxes will continue to be offered.

A minimal price hike is expected for the new Honda Amaze, considering the addition of ADAS tech, design changes, and feature upgrades. Its prices are expected to start at around ₹7.50 lakh and go up to ₹10 lakh–₹10.20 lakh. Its arch-rival, the Maruti Dzire, which recently received a generational change, is currently available within the price range of ₹6.79 lakh–₹10.14 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
