Hyderabad | HYDRAA teams stop attempt to fill up lake in Serlingampally

Attempts to fill in the Khajaguda Pedda Cheruvu in Serilingampally were busted by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) teams on Tuesday (November 27, 2024) night.

The three excavator machines used for the illegal filling were traced back to Bhagyanagar Gas Limited, who were laying a pipeline nearby. HYDRAA teams which seized the vehicles alerted the Irrigation Department about the offence, who reported the same to the police on Wednesday (November 28, 2024). The vehicles were confiscated by the Raidurgam police and a case has been filed against the supervisor of the company, a press release said.
