Hyderabad: An undertrial prisoner allegedly escaped from Chanchalguda prison by submitting a fake bail order. The jail authorities realized the mistake after the accused, Mir Sujjath Ali, was released.
Following this, the authorities contacted the Dabeerpura police, who registered a criminal case of forgery against Ali.
Ali was involved in two separate cases. He had been arrested by Narsingi police in a theft case and was granted bail by the Rajendranagar court in one of the cases. However, he was not released immediately, as another case was still pending against him.
A few days ago, an unknown individual submitted what appeared to be a valid bail order to the jail authorities. Believing it to be genuine, the prison authorities released Ali. However, when online verification of the court order failed to arrive, the authorities conducted further checks and discovered that the bail order was forged.
