NIZAMABAD: Asma, a visually-challenged student from Nizamabad, received a prize at a national science fair — the only one from the state to achieve this feat.

She is a student of Sneha Society for Rural Reconstruction Disabled School.
The science fair was conducted by the vision empowerment organisation.

Sai Jahnavi and Akshya — other students from Sneha school — secured first
and second state level prizes in chess competitions conducted in Hyderabad.

Sneha society secretary S. Siddaiah, and school principal Jyothi said that
the district administration encouraged the disabled students to participate
in district, state and national level competitions. “Our students proved
that they would excel in any competition, if they are receive support,” they
said.
