GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo (GHAC) has secured the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) certification, a milestone aimed at enhancing global trade security.
CTPAT, a voluntary initiative by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), fosters collaboration between U.S. Customs and the global trade community to fortify the supply chain against terrorism and other threats. This certification acknowledges organisations that adopt robust security measures and practices to safeguard international trade. As part of this partnership, CTPAT-certified entities work closely with CBP to address security vulnerabilities and implement industry-leading standards.
According to the announcement, the CTPAT certification will enable GHAC to benefit from reduced physical inspections and faster processing times for goods bound for the U.S. Additionally, GHAC will gain access to CBP’s extensive resources and best practices, further bolstering its supply chain security and operational excellence.
