Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has emphasized the importance of creating five innovation zones in AP that would act as incubators for new ideas and ventures.
Naidu stated this on Friday at a panel discussion he hosted at the DeepTech/GovTech Conclave with stakeholders and entrepreneurs.
He highlighted the need for a robust organisational framework that includes mentorship and venture capital to support emerging entrepreneurs.
The chief minister acknowledged the challenges the government faced in utilizing the existing applications and stressed the need for continuous improvement in the knowledge economy. He called upon innovators from both national and global arenas to present practical cases that could be implemented within the state.
“Technology should be cost-effective,” he noted and stressed that sustainability was key to long-term success.
Naidu addressed concerns regarding data privacy and cybersecurity. He highlighted the necessity for rigorous data management practices. “While digital advancements are crucial, they must be approached with caution to prevent misuse or manipulation of information.”
He proposed involvement of experts from both the private sector and associations to streamline administrative procedures, aiming to eliminate bottlenecks that often hinder entrepreneurial initiatives.
A significant part of the discussion revolved around education and professional training in specialized fields such as speech and hearing. Naidu responded to queries about establishing a speech and hearing college in AP. He promised to explore options for virtual lectures from international institutions to overcome faculty shortages.
