Apart from the detailing service I wanted to get some minor touch up done on the Brembo lettering on the front calipers

Much needed visit to OCD Detail Studio:

Bluebird finally visited OCD Detail Studio for the much needed spa session. Post the construction work a lot of dirt had accumulated in difficult to reach areas where only a pressure washer could reach and provide the desired results. So, last Sunday I took Bianca (848 EVO) to Sumant’s place and today I had scheduled an appointment for Bluebird. Normally I ride to town early morning have breakfast and on my return get the bike cleaned but December has been a hectic month and last night was again a late night outing with family so got some much needed sleep.

Bluebird fired up in the morning without any drama as usual and even though the mornings these days are cooler the engine got up to temperature by the time I had geared up. Out on the highway I generally take it cool for a few kms but today for some reason I pulled beyond 5k in 1st only to be reminded by the rear tyre (fish tail) that it needs more time to heat up . Being a Sunday traffic is light and I reached OCD under 30 mins. Apart from the detailing service I wanted to get some minor touch up done on the Brembo lettering on the front calipers and a few spots on the rear rim. Also, Sumant fixed a temporary rubber for the tank support which was missing on the right side.

All jobs were executed to perfection and I am glad I was introduced to Sumant back in 2017 when I got Bluebird as he is someone as passionate as me and also has an eye for attention to detail. Also, whenever I take Bluebird he gets his Busa too as now I am one of the few customers who has been going to him since the time he had his first workshop and one of the few original busa owners who still have their bikes. I told him nothing shines as much as Bluebird in my collection and we have to see if the RZ can beat that

Km reading before we start

Spent a Sunday giving my beloved Suzuki Hayabusa a detailing session

Made it to OCD. Sometimes I feel why it never looks as dirty from a distance

But I always seek perfection and over time the paint over the lettering had eventually started to give in to the elements and was becoming an eyesore

Right side wasn’t that bad but wasn’t perfect either so both would be taken care of after the wash

The famous clean gold chain waiting to become visually better

Didn’t clean the bike in the fast few weeks so Sumant and his boys could have something to clean

Foam bath

More gold inside the slip on end cans

Touch up time

Right side first

All done. Beauty

On to the left one

All done as well

Titanium cans getting some TLC

Benefits of using two parking covers and not riding in the rain. Parts which are not visible also stay clean

Tank support rubber fitted

Touch up on the rear rim

Each each

Good as new

Soon going to be 8 years young in two months

Final km reading for the day. Hopefully will hit the 12k mark on the next ride and then have to get the annual service done.
