Jagan dubs ‘Vision 2047’ as a publicity stunt

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy rubbished the ‘Swarna Andhra Vision-2047’ document as a mere publicity stunt by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

In a post on X on Sunday, the former Chief Minister said that the vision document was merely a ploy to deceive and mislead the public. “In Mr. Naidu’s document, there is no space for the State’s or for people’s needs, let alone a realistic perspective. Mr. Naidu’s governance has never focused on implementing the promises made in his manifesto during the five years that people have given him. Mr. Naidu’s attention is always on deceiving and misleading people, rather than genuinely helping them,” he said.

“In 1998, too, Mr. Naidu released his ‘Vision 2020’, which marked a dark chapter in the history of the United Andhra Pradesh. Farmer suicides, migrations in search of work, hardships due to lack of employment and jobs – he hid all these issues and promoted his ‘vision’ with a huge publicity campaign. Under the guise of privatisation, he indulged in corruption by handing over valuable government assets to his cronies,” Mr. Jagan alleged.

“Naturally, as time passes, any State or country will grow economically due to inflation and natural growth. Whether we look at the next ten years or the previous ten years, this is a common trend for any state or country,” Mr. Jagan added.
