The flagship SUV from Tata Motors, the Tata Safari, has received a significant update in India. Simultaneously, the automaker has introduced the refreshed Harrierwhich starts at a base price of Rs 15.49 lakh. The new Tata Safari facelift is available in four distinct trims: Smart, Pure, Adventure, and Accomplished. The manual variants are priced from Rs 16.19 lakh to Rs 25.49 lakh, while the automatic variants and Dark Edition cost from Rs 20.69 lakh, with all the prices being introductory ex-showroom.

2023 Tata Safari Color Options
The entry-level Smart and Pure trims are offered in two color schemes: Lunar Slate and Stellar Frost, and these shades are also available in the Dark Edition with Oberon Black finish. 2023 Tata Safari Features
The new Safari facelift boasts a fresh 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, sourced from Harman, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also features Tata’s new 4-spoke steering wheel with a backlit logo, an all-digital instrument cluster with navigation support, touch-based HVAC controls with two toggles, and a powered tailgate. The ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology has been upgraded to include adaptive cruise control.
The second-row seats now come with ventilation function. The SUV retains its impressive array of features, including a 360-degree surround camera, a wireless charger, a 10-speaker JBL audio system, a panoramic sunroof, multi-color ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, and a terrain response mode selector with a display.
2023 Tata Safari Design Changes
The design and styling of the Tata Safari have undergone significant improvements. The updated Safari showcases a newly-designed and wider front grille with central air intakes featuring different inserts. The rectangular-shaped headlamps have been positioned slightly higher and are connected via an LED light bar. The SUV is equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels. The rear section has been revised with a new bumper design and redesigned taillamps connected via an LED bar.
2023 Tata Safari Engine, Mileage
No changes have been made to the engine setup of the new Tata Safari facelift. Under the hood, it houses a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 170PS and 350Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The mileage figures have seen slight improvements, with the new Safari claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 16.30kmpl with the manual gearbox and 14.50kmpl with the automatic transmission.
