For the last few days, it has been widely reported that BRS working president KTR would be arrested in the alleged Formula E scam. As per the latest reports, Telangana’s former CM KCR may also land in legal trouble, as a case might be registered against him concerning the irregularities in power purchases during the BRS regime in the state.

On Monday, the government of Telangana approved the report submitted by the Justice Madan B. Lokur Commission. Plans are being made to take legal action against KCR and other BRS leaders and government officials who were involved in this alleged power scam.

Reportedly, the Revanth-led government will present the Lokur Commission’s report in the ongoing assembly session. After discussing the report in the assembly, legal action is expected to be taken against KCR.

We hear that Revanth Reddy and his colleagues widely discussed the power irregularities case and KTR’s Formula E case during the cabinet meeting yesterday.

According to the report, KCR financially destroyed the DISCOMs in the state over the last decade. Even officials didn’t respond to be in the good books of KCR. As a result, the people will have to bear the cost of the decisions made in power purchases and power plants constructed during the BRS regime.

The report states that around Rs. 9,000 crore burden will be borne by the Telangana people over the next 25 years due to the construction of the Bhadradri Power Plant with outdated technology.

The report also mentions that the state incurred a loss of Rs. 3,642 crore due to the power purchases made from Chhattisgarh. All these factors in the report are expected to be discussed thoroughly in the assembly before filing a case on KCR.

Going by the ongoing circumstances, it looks like KCR and KTR are going to face legal actions due to the scams involving power purchases and the Formula E cases, respectively.
