Hyderabad: The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) on Tuesday overhauled the Telangana Common Entrance Tests (TG CETs) 2025 organising universities and conveners. This time, three universities have lost one CET each as the council made changes.

The TGCHE retained the job of holding the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET) and Telangana Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TG PGECET) with the JNTU-Hyderabad, appointing JNTU-H College of Engineering Professors B Dean Kumar and Prof. A Aruna Kumari as conveners respectively.

While keeping the TG ECET and TG LawCET and PGLCET with Osmania University, the Council gave away the EdCET, which was earlier organised by the OU, to Kakatiya University.

OU College of Engineering Principal Prof. P Chandra Sekhar, OU Law College Professor B Vijayalaxmi and Kakatiya University Physics Professor B Venkatram Reddy were appointed conveners for TG ECET, TG LAWCET and TG EdCET respectively.

The KU has been stripped of rights to organise the TG ICET over allegations of misappropriation of test funds this year besides lack of required faculty. The Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, was entrusted with work of holding the entrance test for admissions to MBA and MCA programmes and Department of Business Management Professor Aluvala Kumari has been appointed as the convener.

Similarly, the Palamuru University was handed over the responsibility of organising the Physical Education Common Entrance Test (TG PECET) and JNTU-Hyderabad physical education Professor NS Dileep was given convener position. This year, the entrance test for admissions to diploma and bachelors in physical education was conducted by Satavahana University. The schedules for CETs would be announced shortly, the TGCHE said.
