Review of my Hornet 2.0 OBD2 post one-year of ownership:
Bought the bike on 17th Sep of last year on the eve of the Auspicious “Vishwakarma Pooja” and it has been a pure bliss thus far. Here is my overview of most important things:
- Engine: Truly a Honda marvel. It’s absolutely silky smooth, has a nice burble sound at low revs and likes to sing post 6k rpm. It has got very good response and punch throughout the rev range. But the most important thing is its tractability. You can chug along 30kmph even in 4th gear and the engine doesn’t complain. Simply put, I’m in awe of how good and underrated this bike/engine is.
- Handling: Simply awesome at all speeds. Thanks to the fat USD forks, bike remains planted at 100kmph+ speeds and high-speed cornering is simply bliss.
- Design: Head-turning. Whenever I park it, I always give it a look-back. Bike has such a balanced yet aggressive design. I really like it
- Mileage: So far bike has given me around 34-37kmpl but I mostly ride in congested city, so it’s still good.
- Comfort: Bike is also comfortable for two-up riding. No issues here.
Conclusion: Don’t let spec chart and paid auto-reviews misguide you. Go and take a test-ride, you’re gonna fall in love with this bike
Now time for a pic(just pardon me for bike being little dirty):
