As per a fresh media reportthe performance-oriented Octavia RS will be put on display to gauge customer responses, and later, it could be launched in limited units.
New Skoda Octavia RS
The Octavia RS, a performance sedan from the Czech automaker, has a cult following in India. The last model we had was its fourth-generation version, which was phased out in 2023 with the implementation of the BS6 II emission standards. The company continues to sell the same model in select global markets, where it received a mid-life update earlier this year. Read: New Skoda Kylaq Compact SUV Delivery Date & Details
The global-spec Skoda Octavia RS features a 1.5L turbo engine that was updated with the facelift to improve fuel efficiency. It comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The same engine is also available with a 7-speed DCT gearbox, along with a 48V mild hybrid system. Additionally, there are three more powertrain options on offer: a 150bhp 1.5L engine (with manual and automatic mild-hybrid tech), a 265bhp 2.0L 4-cylinder engine (only for the top-end vRS trim with DCT transmission), and a 116bhp/150bhp 2.0L diesel engine (with manual and DCT gearboxes).
New Skoda Kodiaq
The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq 7-seater SUV comes with comprehensive design changes and feature upgrades. It adopts the brand’s “Modern Solid” design language and includes features such as a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new Smart Dial setup (with customizable individual color displays), and a fully digital instrument cluster. Compared to the previous version, the new-gen model is longer and offers more cabin space and cargo area.
No changes will be made under the hood. The new Skoda Kodiaq will continue to use the 2.0L turbo petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. This setup delivers a maximum power of 190bhp and 320Nm of torque. The 4X4 drivetrain system will also be carried forward from the old model.
