Allu Arjun’s Questioning Concludes Before Hyderabad Police In Sandhya Theatre Tragedy

December 24, 2024: The tragic incident involving Allu Arjun has garnered significant media attention and public outcry. The incident, which took place on December 4, resulted in the death of a woman, Revathi, and left her child, Sri Tej, critically injured. This occurred during a promotional event for Pushpa 2: The Rule, where the actor, in an effort to engage with his fans, waved from the sunroof of his car, causing a large crowd to gather outside Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. The chaotic scene led to the fatal accident, and Allu Arjun was later arrested and granted bail.

The incident has sparked protests and legal battles. Advocate Srinivas Reddy has filed a writ petition, accusing Allu Arjun of disregarding law and order by not obtaining the necessary permits for the event and holding an unauthorized roadshow. Reddy has demanded that Allu Arjun’s bail be canceled, urging both the state and central governments to take action.

In response, Allu Arjun’s legal team has moved the High Court seeking to quash the petition, arguing that he was not responsible for the incident. The actor’s public relations have also been marred by protests, including a violent demonstration outside his residence, which resulted in clashes between protesters and security personnel.

The incident has drawn political ire as well, with Telangana CM Revanth Reddy criticizing Allu Arjun, stating that police had specifically denied permission for such events due to safety concerns. Meanwhile, opposition figures and protest groups have called for greater accountability from Allu Arjun, the film’s producers, and the authorities.

In an effort to provide some relief to the bereaved family, the producers of Pushpa 2, Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, have contributed Rs 50 lakh to Revathi’s family at KIMS Hospital, where her child is being treated.

This case has highlighted broader concerns about the safety of public events, especially when they involve large crowds and celebrity involvement. The investigation and public discourse continue as authorities attempt to determine the full scope of responsibility and liability in this tragic situation.
