A three-day ‘millet-art’ exhibition, being organised by Visakhapatnam-based artist Moka Vijay Kumar, began at the Visakha Museum on Beach Road here on Sunday (January 5).

The expo features artworks depicting the life of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump. Thirteen frames, measuring 4ft.x3ft. each, are on display at the expo.

The exhibition was inaugurated by V. Prabhu Kishore, chairman of Varun Group. Mr. Prabhu Kishore said Mr. Vijay Kumar brought special recognition to Visakhapatnam through his millet artworks.

Mr. Vijay Kumar said that he was inspired to make the artworks by a speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that he has been making many millet-based artworks for the past one year and a half.

He said the artworks depict the major phases in Mr. Trump’s life, including his childhood, education, sports, marriage, business success, the gunshot incidents during his election campaign and his victory in the U.S. Presidential election for second time.

Mr. Vijay Kumar also expressed his desire to gift these artworks to the U.S. President-elect on behalf of India, hoping to bring recognition to millet art and spread greater awareness and interest in millets among the public. He felt that everyone should incorporate millets in their diet because of their health benefits.
