The movie is still running successfully in theaters, and today director Nag Ashwin arrived at Telangana’s Mahabubnagar to watch the movie with the fans. On July 23, the makers of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ took to their official Instagram account to share glimpses of a massive gathering in front of the theater at Mahabubnagar.The crowd was cheering for Nag Ashwin as he arrived in the futuristic vehicle Bujji. Fans were eager to meet the partner of Prabhas’ character Bhairava. They captioned the video, “Heartwarming welcome for #Bujji (sic) and our Captain @nag_ashwin in Mahabubnagar!”

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is now just Rs 20 crore away from surpassing ‘Jawan,’ directed by Atlee and starring Shah Rukh Khan, which has a total net collection of Rs 640 crore in India. However, it remains uncertain if ‘Kalki’ will surpass Jawan’s global earnings of Rs 1,160 crore, currently ranked fifth, especially with highly anticipated releases like ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ hitting theaters this week. Despite this, the movie joined the Rs 1,000 crore club on July 13 and surpassed the all-time collection of Rs 1,055 crore for Siddharth Anand’s Shah Rukh Khan film ‘Pathaan,’ making it the sixth highest-grossing movie.
Ashwatthama, the oldest surviving warrior from the Kurukshetra War, is depicted by Amitabh Bachchan. In the story, he confronts Bhairava, portrayed by Prabhas, as they both brace for the advent of Kalki, the final incarnation of Vishnu. Deepika Padukone played the role of a pregnant woman named Sum 80 aka Sumathi while Kamal Haasan portrayed the role of Supreme Yaskin. The plot of this movie is inspired by the epic Mahabharata.
