OnePlus is all set for its winter launch event, where the company has confirmed the launch of the OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R, a special variant of the OnePlus Buds Pro 3, and is also speculated to introduce the OnePlus Watch 3 with enhanced health monitoring features.
OnePlus will live-stream the OnePlus 13 series launch on YouTube, with the event commencing at 9:00 PM IST today. During the event, OnePlus will showcase its latest products and services. The company has also confirmed that these products will be available for purchase via Amazon, OnePlus stores, and other participating retailers across the country.
What do we know about the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R?
The OnePlus 13 will be the company’s flagship modelpowered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. According to leaks, the phone will feature three 50 MP cameras at the back and a 32 MP selfie camera. Unlike its predecessor, the OnePlus 13 will come with a quad-curved display, offering 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the smartphone is confirmed to have a vegan leather finish.
The OnePlus 13R will be a slightly more affordable variant, likely powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. It is also said to be the first R-series smartphone from OnePlus to include a dedicated telephoto lens. The OnePlus 13R is expected to feature a 1.5K resolution OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a flat-panel design. Both variants will include an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Both the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R are expected to house a larger 6,000 mAh battery with support for 100W fast wired charging. The OnePlus 13 is additionally expected to support wireless charging.
In terms of software, both phones will run on Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 and are likely to receive at least four major Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
Expected pricing
The base variant of the OnePlus 13 might be priced between Rs 65,000 and Rs 70,000, while the OnePlus 13R is expected to cost less than Rs 50,000.
