Hyderabad Metro Update: To tackle the issue of heavy crowds, the Hyderabad metro on Friday announced that the corporation is planning to purchase more trains to accommodate the crowd in the metro. In an announcement, L&T Metro Rail Managing Director KVB Reddy stated that this could be seen as an effort to encourage the residents of the city to use public transport.

The chief minister also emphasised that Telangana has committed to contribute $1 trillion to India’s aim to become a $5 trillion economy. However, he pointed out that there will be a need for enhanced railway infrastructure to boost the economic growth.

Reddy had also set a three-month deadline to complete the DPRs and stated that it should be sent to the central government for approval.
