“Game Changer” is the first Pan India movie from our Tollywood as a gift this Sankranti. This film directed by maverick director Shankar starring global star Ram Charan was released on a huge level. And let’s see in the review whether this movie has met the expectations.
Story:
If we come to the story… Bobbili Satya Murthy (Srikanth) will continue as the Chief Minister of AP in the name of Abhyudayam Party. But Bobbili Mopidevi (SJ Surya), whose son is also a minister, has always had her eye on the CM’s chair. In this background, Ram Nandan (Ram Charan) comes as the collector of the same AP. And what about the war with Mopidevi? Why will Satyamurthy announce Ram Nandan as the Chief Minister of AP? What will Mopidevi do if he wants to become the Chief Minister? How did the political war between Ram Nandan and Mopidevi go? If you want to know what is the relationship between Abhyudaya Party’s original founder Appanna (another Ram Charan) then you have to watch this film on the silver screen.

Not only Ram Charan’s fans but also Shankar’s fans were eagerly waiting for this movie. And there is no doubt that their expectations will not be taken away at all. As Shankar said about the movie, the movie runs with crazy screenplay with solid mass elements that keep the audience looking at the screen all the time instead of looking here and there. Also, the elevations or some twists in the movie are very exciting.
Apart from these, Shankar Mark has some new ideas, similar to the mass scenes seen in his politically related movies. Among the actors, the first thing to say is for Ram Charan.. Those emotions have become important in Shankar’s films. There is no need to say what kind of performances Shankar has shown from his heroes. Ram Charan shocked with his performance in Game Changer as well.
There is no doubt that he has given yet another iconic performance that will definitely stand out in his career. A Chittibabu in ‘Rangasthalam’ now has to be called Appanna in a game changer. Unexpectedly, the actor in him pleases the audience. The innocence of Appanna’s character is definitely a hat-off for the dedication he showed for the role. Charan gives a treat as Ram Nandan in stylish looks as well as in his young looks. That’s all, the variations in the film have been adapted to suit the occasion.
I have to say for Anjali in the movie. Just like those roles in Charan’s career, this role will also remain in Anjali’s career. Anjali acted brilliantly in her role. Some of the scenes that come upon him are heart-warming but human. And SJ Surya in the villain role showed his mark of villainy. Charan will give a good treat to the audience where he will have some hot scenes. He also gave a solid performance in his role with his mannerism and looks.
Actor Srikanth also appeared in a good role. In addition, heroine Kiara Advani, along with her glamor as an actress, also entertains by appearing in a key role in the film. Also a small supporting role will be seen from Sunil again after a long time. Also a comedy scene on the comedy Brahma Brahmanandam is good. Jairam entertains in a comic role. The songs and grand visuals in the movie are mesmerizing. Also, Shankar’s hard hitting emotions are cultivated in the movie. Also, the powers of an IAS officer are still politically applauded in many scenes in the first half and second half.
Minus Points:
The film has solid narration but this type of story is not new. Our Telugu hero Sai Dharam Tej can be imagined in the style of just a few scenes in Republic. Also, the first ten to fifteen minutes in the first half are a bit so-so. It would have been better if the introduction fight on Ram Charan had been planned better.
Also the song visuals are not good in the movie till the VFX. Thaman and SJ Surya gave a lot of hype to that song but it was not in that range. Also some scenes in the second half may seem light and routine here and there. Along with these, it would be good to show Appanna’s character for a little more time. Also Shankar Mark’s stylish action taking is also missing in the movie, his fans may feel.
Technical category:
All the expenses of Dil Raju can be seen in this movie. The production values are very good. But VFX needs to be done better. The song will disappoint in theaters. All the other songs are below Shankar’s standards with crazy thoughts. A lot of people may have doubts about Thaman, but Shankar has definitely lived up to the standards. Elevations is not only a score but a childish emotional bit that moves the film. Editing is good. Thiru’s cinematography is rich and good with grand visuals. It would have been better if Nana Hirana had also been put.
And when it comes to director Shankar, he has been successful in trying to show what his fans want since the last few years. Although the story is Karthik Subbaraj’s, his trademark narration, with strong emotions, is good. He brought out the best from every actor. The way the screenplay is directed is engaging in the movie. Overall his work is good for the movie.
Verdict:
Overall, it can be said that this “game changer” is a political action drama with solid emotions that are a little predictable and a little more unpredictable. Once again in his career Ram Charan impresses with his inner actor. Appanna will definitely be remembered by the audience after Chittibabu. In fact, it feels good to have longer scenes on him in the film. The other lead cast including himself have done well in the movie. Mass masala political scenes that stir emotions engage the audience in the film. But the story is a little routine, there are some scenes that seem okay. So apart from these, you can watch it with your family.
