Hyderabad: The central govt’s decision to give higher share of taxes to Andhra Pradesh than Telangana appears to have upset the state govt. Funds totalling Rs 1.73 lakh crore were released to various states on Friday as part of their share in taxes.
While Telangana’s share was Rs 3,637 crore, AP received nearly double that at Rs 7,002 crore.
Sources said Telangana govt was dissatisfied with the allocation and was likely to take up the matter in talks with the Centre.
