Illicit affair may have led to double murders: Cops

Hyderabad: A day after bodies of a couple were found in a quarry at an under construction site at Puppalaguda, Narsingi police on Wednesday said that an illicit affair was the motive behind the murder.
The deceased — Bindu Diwakar, 25, and Ankith Saketh, 25 — were allegedly in a relationship. The killer, who is suspected to have also been in a relationship with Bindu, may have murdered them at the spot, said police.
According to police, Bindu, hailing from Madhya Pradesh, and Saketh, belonging to Chhattisgarh, got acquainted while working at construction sites in the past.
Police said that Bindu was already married. Her husband Sonu Diwakar works in Chhattisgarh, while she stayed in the city.
A couple of days ago, Saketh picked up Bindu from Vanasthalipuram and brought her to his rented room at Nanakramguda.
Police said that a hunt is on to nab the killer, and are also verifying if more persons are involved in the double murder. Police said that Diwakar came to the city to take her with him and lodged a missing complaint in Vanasthalipuram when he could not trace her.
A missing case was also registered at Gachibowli police station on Saketh’s disappearance, based on a complaint lodged by his cousins staying with him.
