Hyderabad: A person from Uttar Pradesh was arrested by Rachakonda police as he was in possession of three country-made weapons. Police said that Harekrishna Yadav, 26, was arrested while he was in the process of selling the weapons to persons in need of them. Apart from the weapons, police seized 10 bullets.
Yadav came to Hyderabad in 2019 along with his brother and worked in a company located at Bibinagar. After three years, in 2022, he left the job and went back to his native place. “His native district in UP is near Bihar. He came in touch with those who are into the illegal sale of country-made weapons. Harekrishna decided to sell them to persons in need and make a profit,” Rachakonda police commissioner Sudheer Babu said. “As per his plan, Yadav procured three different types of weapons from a person named Sampath Yadav of Shapur village, Bihiya mandal, Bhojpur district, Bihar.
He kept the weapons with him to sell them in Hyderabad to persons through his known contacts,” the commissioner said. Yadav was near Ambedkar Nagar bus stop when he was held by Special Operation Team, Rachakonda, along with Jawaharnagar police.
