Megastar Chiranjeevi is set to work on two consecutive projects. Firstly, he’s collaborating with young director Vasishta of Bimbisara fame, and secondly, he’s teaming up with Tamil director PS Mithran.
Interestingly, Mithran had previously proposed a script to Ram Charan, but now it’s being adapted for Chiranjeevi. Chiru’s team is working closely with Mithran in Chennai to tailor the script to his image. This project will kick off immediately after Vasishta’s film.
The debacle of “Bholaa Shankar” seems to have significantly influenced Chiranjeevi’s approach. He canceled a remake project and is now partnering with emerging talents brimming with fresh concepts and ideas.
PS Mithran who previously directed “Abhimanyudu” featuring Vishal and “Sardar” with Karthi, has a track record of successful and well-received films. Mithran is renowned for his compelling direction and engaging storytelling.
Working with fresh and new directors will bring out a different side to any actor. We saw how Nelson and Atlee presented Rajinikanth (Jailer) and Shah Rukh Khan (Jawan) in completely new avatars which was loved by not only their fans but also by the neutral audience.
It is commendable that Chiranjeevi has decided to go with directors with whom he hasn’t worked before instead of the tried and tested ones. Let’s hope Mithran also brings out a never-before-seen Chiranjeevi with his new film.
