Hyderabad: Two fugitives, linked to a robbery in Bidar and an attempted murder in Hyderabad, were last seen by police at Bowenpally, raising suspicions about whether they are still within Telangana or have crossed into neighbouring states.
The suspects had initially planned to board a bus bound for Raipur from Bowenpally on Thursday. They booked their tickets at Afzalgunj and were set to travel to Bowenpally in a pick-up van, arranged by a travel agent. However, after one of the accused opened fire in the mini-van at Afzalgunj, the suspects fled, disrupting their travel plans.
After three days of reviewing CCTV camera footage, police confirmed that the suspects eventually reached Bowenpally, the departure point for buses heading to Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. While it’s unclear whether they boarded a bus and left Telangana, or are still hiding somewhere in Hyderabad, investigations are ongoing.
“We have not yet identified the two suspects, but we believe they are still armed and in possession of the stolen cash,” a police officials told TOI.
The accused are wanted for killing two private security guards during an ATM heist in Bidar and for attempting to murder travel agent staff on Thursday. Authorities from four states are now actively searching for the suspects.
