STT GDC India signs MoU to build DC campus in Hyderabad

The ST Telemedia Global Data Centres India Private Limited (STT GDC India), a leading provider of data centre solutions, on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State government to establish a state-of-the-art data centre campus at Mucherla in Hyderabad.

The AI-ready data centre, to be established at an investment of ₹3,500 crore, will have a targeted capacity of up to 100 MW, along with ample scalability for future growth, making it one of the largest data centre projects in the country.

The project highlights Telangana’s stature as a preferred destination for global technology infrastructure. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said Hyderabad was emerging as the capital of data centres.

The MoU was signed in Singapore in the presence of Minister for Industries D. Sridhar Babu, Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Managing Director Vishnu Vardhan Reddy and Bruno Lopez, group CEO of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres.

Bruno Lopez said the collaboration demonstrated the common goal of promoting economic expansion, generating employment and constructing a sustainable digital future.

Sridhar Babu said ‘TelanganaRising’ was unstoppable now and the STT GDC’s decision to invest in Telangana was a testament to the state’s robust ecosystem and forward-thinking policies.

STT GDC India’s expansion investment in Telangana is part of its broader vision to achieve a design capacity of 1 GW across India in the next decade, with an investment outlook of around $3.2 billion.

The company currently operates a data centre in HITEC City in Hyderabad, and this new campus will further solidify its presence in the State. The Hindu
