Maha Kumbh special trains from Visakhapatnam to halt at Kottavalasa


A halt is being provided to the Maha Kumbh Mela specials, being operated from Visakhapatnam, at Kottavalasa, for the convenience of pilgrims and devotees from North Andhra region going to the festival, according to K. Saandeep, senior divisional commerical manager, Waltair Division of East Coast Railway (ECoR).

Train no.08562 Visakhapatnam-Gorakhpur Mahakumbh Special express, leaving Visakhapatnam on February 16, 2025 (Sunday), will arrive at Kottavalasa 10.48 p.m. and leave at 10.50 p.m. to reach Gorakhpur on Tuesday (February 18, 2025) at 8.25 p.m.

In the return direction, 08561 Gorakhpur-Visakhapatnam Special Express, leaving Gorakhpur at 2.20 p.m. on February 19 (Wednesday) will reach Kottavalasa at 11.22 a.m. on Friday and depart at 11.24 a.m. to reach Visakhapatnam at 12:15 p.m.

Similarly, train no.08530 Visakhapatnam-Deen dayal Upadhyay Special Express, leaving Visakhapatnam at 5.35 p.m. on January 23, February 6, 20 and 27 (Thursdays) will arrive at Kottavalasa at 6.05 p.m. and depart at 6.07 p.m. and will reach Deen dayal Upadhyay on Saturdays at 4.30 a.m.

In the return direction, 08529 Deen dayal Upadhyay-Visakhapatnam Special Express, leaving Deen Dayal Upadhyay at 8.10 a.m. on January 25, February 8, 22 and March 1 (Saturdays) and will arrive at Kottavalasa on Mondays at 2.36 a.m. and depart at 2.38 a.m. to arrive in Visakhapatnam at 3.25 a.m.
