The national flag was unfurled by senior police officers at important offices of the department across Hyderabad as part of 76th Republic Day celebrations.
Additional DGP Swati Lakra unfurled the national flag at the Telangana police headquarters in Basheerbagh, while celebrations at Hyderabad police headquarters at Banjara Hills were launched by Hyderabad Joint Commissioner of Police (Administration) Parimala Hana Nutan.
At the city’s IT centre, Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Avinash Mohanty presented 29 Ati Utkrisht Seva Padak and 18 Utkrisht Seva Padak to police officials for their meritorious services. The officer said wearing the police uniform was both a great honour and a privilege and encouraged the officials to approach their duties with utmost commitment and dedication.
Telangana Excise Commissioner Chevvuru Hari Kiran and Prohibition and Excise Director V.B. Kamalasan Reddy launched the celebrations at Excise Bhavan.
