In fact, the recruiter expressed a preference for hiring an American graduate with menial experience over an H1B applicant who might have years of experience listed on their resume. This situation is particularly disheartening for those who have diligently built their careers, only to be overlooked due to their visa status.

The recruiter’s perspective is influenced by a growing skepticism regarding certain H1B applications, especially in light of years filled with false claims and exaggerated resumes. Unfortunately, this broad generalization is now impacting legitimate H1B applicants. Many skilled professionals with valid work experience are facing unfair rejections due to this bias. While some recruiters may have encountered issues with fraudulent claims in the past, the truth is that many qualified candidates are now under increased scrutiny because of a few dishonest individuals.
