A leopard reportedly died after it was hit by an unidentified vehicle on National Highway 44, near Valluru village of Narsingi mandal in Medak district on Thursday night. The feline was rendered immobile waist down after the accident and tried to move on its forelimbs for a while, but died later, sources informed.
A viral video clip showed the animal trying to chase a two wheeler in the injured state even as several people present at the location were seen videographing it with their mobile phones. The news could not be verified from the Forest Department officials as it happened late in the day.
