HYDRAA police station to come up soon, says Ranganath

Hyderabad: In a decisive move to curb land encroachments, a HYDRAA police station will soon be established, strengthening law enforcement against illegal land grabbing. A comprehensive land survey will also be conducted by the Survey of India, AD Survey, and HYDRAA survey team to identify and resolve disputes, said HYDRAA commissioner AV Ranganath.
The announcement comes after Ranganath conducted an inspection in Ameenpur municipality on Friday, following multiple complaints about illegal land encroachments. During his visit, he engaged with affected residents and assessed the situation first-hand.
During his tour, the commissioner visited Ilapuram and Chakrapuri colonies, where locals submitted grievances regarding land disputes. Ilapuram residents alleged that a man named Mukheem had encroached upon residential plots they had purchased in the 1980s.
Assuring swift action, Ranganath stated that ongoing court cases related to the layout would be reviewed to ensure that rightful landowners are identified and protected.
The commissioner held meetings at both locations, listening to complaints and promising strict action against encroachers. He urged residents not to panic, assuring them that the authorities are committed to resolving disputes transparently and fairly.
“HYDRAA was established by the state to safeguard land meant for public and official use. All complaints will be thoroughly investigated, and strict action will be taken against those guilty of illegal land occupation. We request residents to remain patient as we work towards protecting rightful property owners,” Ranganath stated.
