Best of all, it is an un-ostentatious, understated, anonymous vehicle. Does not jump at you and demand attention. A perfect sleeper, considering the explosive acceleration of the EVs in general.

I voted Creta EV. And this was from a sense of practicality and value for money and common sense.
I own a Kona which I bought a year ago. Had I waited until now, I may very well have got the Creta EV.
I like Hyundai. I think they are committed to India and us Indians. They make good cars. Well designed, comfortable, practical, reliable.
The charging port and the indicator behind the door in the Kona which I own, is the same as in the Creta EV.
The Creta EV is a very good, value for money car and a highly accomplished one too. Evaluating it casually I noted that it has most of the features of the Alcazar.
The regular Creta has a GC of 190mm and the Creta EV has 200mm. The Creta EV is well engineered. It is thoughtful. It is comfortable. This vehicle has electric seat adjustment controls including height adjust, on both the front seats – thats not a common feature but one which shorter folks like my wife, will love!
The controls and quality and all are very very good.
The Drive selector is unmissable. It has a tactile feel. You will NOT mix it up for the indicator or windscreen wiper!
The vehicle is priced well at INR 26 Lac in Bangalore. Yes it’s true, the lack of Apple Carplay and Android wireless. That’s a miss. But it is easily fixed, with that OttoKast Dongle. I’ve had to do the same in my Kona. And it works nicely.
The Creta EV with the 51 KWH battery is the default choice with the 400km range in the real world. It should easily be able to go Bangalore to Ooty or Bangalore Madras or Bangalore Coimbatore or Bangalore Madikeri or Bangalore Wayanaad in one charge.
Yes, this is indeed a great first mass-market useable EV which people will buy based on trust. Best of all, it is an un-ostentatious, understated, anonymous vehicle. Does not jump at you and demand attention. A perfect sleeper, considering the explosive acceleration of the EVs in general.
In my book, this is a very worthwhile car to buy. And were I in the market, as I said above, I would act accordingly. But for now, I shall enjoy my Kona.
