Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s starrer Loveyapa was expected to be a disaster at the box office given its already used plot and underwhelming actors.
However the film has naturally targeted the youth audiences and they are loving the film. Though the film is not a masterpiece, people are praising the actors for their commendable performances.

The film could have had a good weekend at the box office but thanks to the re release of Sanam Teri Kasam, people are prioritizing the romantic drama over the newly released rom-com.
Many sources stated that the makers of Sanam Teri Kasam conducted self bookings for their film on the first day. This saw the film getting a jumbo re-release on Friday.

As it stands, people are starting to love Loveyapa organically with its overall collections nearing 3 crores.
The film didn’t had a good start on the first day but it is picking up pace with positive word of mouth and youth appeal the film has.

While Sanam Teri Kasam is set to touch the 15 crore mark in its first weekend, it is aiming to become the biggest re-release of all time.
Although the collections are low, Loveyapa makers are showcasing the real figures without inflating them unlike others which is growing concern in the industry.
While they are setting a good example for every other filmmaker to follow, it remains to be seen when corporate bookings and inflation of numbers will stop.
It remains to be seen how Loveyapa and Sanam Teri Kasam carve their path ahead at the cinemas.
