A Tough Nut for Telangana Congress

In what has been a remarkable rise to the top, Teenmaar Mallanna went from being a common YouTuber to an MLC and self-proclaimed leader of the BC community in Telangana. His strong anti-incumbency approach against KCR has given him a credible platform in Telangana politics, and he is fully capitalizing on it.

After securing the MLC position on behalf of the Congress party, he has taken a wayward approach. In fact, he burned the caste census document prepared by the government of Telangana, claiming these statistics do not reflect the actual consensus of the BC community in the state.

The fact that Mallanna, as a Congress MLC, burned his own party’s flagship census document has irritated the party high command, which issued him a showcause notice.

However, Mallanna is unfazed by the showcause notice. He has shown little regard for this disciplinary action from the Congress.

“Our central leadership, led by Rahul Gandhi, called for a fair caste census. But our local leadership here didn’t follow these guidelines and prepared a namesake document. This is more like a Jana Reddy document than an actual caste census document. That’s why I burned it down. My allegiance is with my leader Rahul Gandhi and no one else,” Mallanna stated.

Not stopping there, Teenmaar Mallanna said that the notice issued by the Congress party is not a personal matter but a cause of concern for the entire BC community. He implied that he represents the whole BC community in Telangana and that Congress must be wary of the situation.

Mallanna appears to be expressing dissent against the local Congress leadership in Telangana. He has spun the situation in such a way that the showcause notice given to him isn’t just an individual matter but a rebuke to the entire BC community.

As it seems, dealing with Mallanna, who evidently has his own plans surrounding the BC community in Telangana politics, is not going to be an easy task for the local leadership.
