A Blue Dart Aviation cargo aircraft made an emergency landing at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Hyderabad outskirts late on Monday (February 17, 2025) night following a technical snag. The Boeing 757-200 Freighter aircraft, en route from Chennai to Hyderabad, encountered a problem with its landing gear mid-flight, prompting the pilots to declare an emergency.
The flight took off from Chennai International Airport at 10:22 p.m. and safely touched down in Hyderabad at 11:49 p.m. In response to the emergency, RGIA authorities activated standard safety protocols, deploying crash fire tenders, medical teams, and alerting local police. Operational teams were also on standby to ensure a swift and coordinated response, airport officials confirmed.
