Kamareddy: Multi Zone-1 Inspector General of Police Chandrasekhar Reddy announced on Thursday that child friendly corners in police stations will aid petitioners who approach the stations with family disputes and other issues. He revealed that eight police stations in Kamareddy district now feature child friendly areas complete with a mini park.
During the event, IG Chandrasekhar Reddy, along with Kamareddy district superintendent of police Ch. Sindhu Sharma, inaugurated a newly constructed circle inspector office in Sadashivanagar, as well as child friendly corners at Sadashivanagar and Devunipally police stations. The ceremony also saw the launch of a police command control centre at Kamareddy police station.
“I will ensure that child friendly corners are set up in all 23 police stations in Kamareddy district soon,” said IG Chandrasekhar Reddy. He also announced plans to install 100 CCTV cameras in villages to help prevent crime. Chandrasekhar Reddy praised police officers for their initiatives and extended his appreciation to the donors who contributed to the CI office building in Sadashivanagar.
