Telangana Government has issued orders giving a 25% rebate on the regularisation charges and pro-rata open space charges for the applicants of the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) late on Thursday (February 20, 2025) night.
The orders issued by Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari stated that the applicants have the option of paying pro-rata open space charges at the time of obtaining building permission. But, the 25% rebate being offered is applicable for payments made on or before March 31 this year.
The fresh orders are an amendment to the Telangana Regularisation of Unapproved and Illegal Layout Rules 2020. It also stated that any unregistered plots which are forming part of an unauthorised layout where 10% of plots were already sold through the registered sale deed on or before August 26, 2020 will be permitted for approvals under the scheme.
The details of such plots will be collected in a prescribed format by the sub-registrar concerned and transmitted to the LRS portal for processing under the prescribed rules. This regularisation will be allowed irrespective of whether the layout owners have applied for regularisation under the scheme. A layout owner is a person who has developed the layout and sold at least 10% of the plots on or before August 26, 2020.
It was reiterated in the orders that no registration of plots will be allowed in unauthorised or unapproved layouts and no building permissions will be granted.
