Things like AutoHold and 360 Degree camera are quite useful. Can clearly see both the tires on camera while parking next to drains or steep edges
BHPian unplugged recently shared this with other enthusiasts:
Took delivery of T.Green Windsor Essence on 06 Nov 2024, after paying one full EMI even before taking delivery
Dealership experience was mixed, due to so many failed promises on delivery date. Dealer rep said there are no more T. Green vehicles allotted to them for the next 2 months due to high demand. Only black and white will be delivered for next 2 months. All accessories are costlier at the dealer than what was mentioned in the accessories brochure, and most of them are unavailable. Still waiting to get the Screen guard and Door edge protector (fully paid for). Wanted to go with MG Dashcam which is supposed to be common for all their vehicle models, and even that was not available. Got insurance on my own, despite dealer opposition. They mentioned handling charges 10k in the original price list, I told them its illegal since Supreme court observations and TG Government order in 2016 on the matter. They promptly updated their price list and put the same 10k under the head Teflon coating which unsurprisingly became mandatory at the time of delivery. Delivery was smooth and organized well.
Vehicle is only 5 days old so still learning lot of things. Things like AutoHold and 360 Degree camera are quite useful. Can clearly see both the tires on camera while parking next to drains or steep edges. The drive mode setting resets to Normal and Heavy Regen every time the car is switched ON, which is annoying. The door grab handles are positioned quite high up towards the glass, so its little inconvenient while opening and closing.
Extrapolated range on Normal mode in city driving, with AC running, is around 230 to 240 kms, while ECO mode is returning close to 300 to 310 kms in city with top speed under 60 kmph and light footed driving in both scenarios. I found the ride to be slightly more comfortable in ECO mode due to reduced acceleration and consequent less head movement while being seated inside. The difference can be felt in stop and go conditions in city traffic. The steering is too light for my liking, but will get used to it.
7.4 kW Charger was installed 2 days later and works fine. But surprisingly no option on the MG iSmart app to limit the percentage up to which we can charge. Request other owners to let me know if there is a way around or I am missing something.
