Hyderabad: Happy Streets by The Times of India will be back on Sunday, Feb 23, at Banjara Hills. The street behind the Command and Control Centre (connecting road numbers 10 & 12) will host this gala event between 6.30 am 10 pm.
Pick and choose between a wide array of activities. Enjoy yoga and meditation by Bodhi School of Yoga, groove to Zumba and fitness dance by Deepak Maurya, witness a flash mob choreography of college students organised by Student Tribe and an instrumental performance by Abhinav Jakhotia.
“This Sunday, I’ll be playing the mouth organ (harmonica) which is more than just an instrument; it’s a unique blend of music and breath. Playing it feels like doing pranayama, as you control your breath in and out while creating soothing melodies. I’m looking forward to sharing this therapeutic experience with everyone. I’ll be playing some Telugu and Hindi songs for the lovely audience,” said Abhinav. You can also unwind with acupuncture massage by Rohini Beauty and Healthcare.
For kids and families, there will be painting workshops by Global Art, giant-sized games by Gamology, a special pet zone by Pet Paradise and a pet adoption drive by Bliss Foundation. Cycling enthusiasts can have a gala time, courtesy Hyderabad Bicycling Club.
“We are thrilled to be part of Happy Streets, inspiring Hyderabadis to rediscover the joy of cycling. We aim to promote cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transport, reducing pollution and making the city more liveable for everyone. As part of the event, we are offering state-of-the-art bicycles for attendees to ride and experience. Additionally, participants who complete our slow cycling challenge —riding an antique bicycle for a minimum of 60 seconds without their feet touching the ground—will receive special certificates,” said Shravan Mamidi of Hyderabad Bicycling Club.
Come play various sports and games at the Decathlon zone.
Happy Streets in Hyderabad is presented by Joyalukkas, powered by Lansum Properties and supported by the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
